Meet PAula

Paula is a compassionate, trauma-informed and strength-based psychologist with a background in Mental Health, Functional Recovery, Disabilities and Behaviour Support.  She is able to assist with difficulties across a range of concerns, including anxiety, depression, stress, grief and loss, life transitions, parenting, emotional regulation, neurodiversity and relationship difficulties.

 

Her integrative therapeutic approach, personalised to each client, includes Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, Play Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy and Schema Therapy.

 

She creates a supportive, non-judgemental and collaborative environment to explore presenting concerns, identify therapeutic goals and finds solutions to increase wellbeing, resilience and quality of life for her clients across the Sunshine Coast.

Child Psychology

Paula is skilled in engaging children and supporting their parents through a warm, playful, and developmentally attuned approach. She creates a safe, nurturing, and fun space where children feel comfortable to explore their thoughts, feelings, and behaviours. Paula works collaboratively with parents to strengthen understanding, connection, and practical strategies that support a child’s wellbeing both at home and at school.

Adolescent Psychology

Paula has over 20 years’ experience working with teenagers and young adults (12–25 years) across mental health, school, and community settings. She is skilled at building genuine rapport with young people, allowing them to feel understood, respected, and safe. This strong therapeutic foundation helps adolescents develop insight, emotional awareness, confidence, and resilience. Paula supports young people with challenges such as anxiety, low mood, school stress, identity, relationships, and neurodiversity.

Adult Psychology

Paula enjoys working with people of all ages. She is able to support clients to address thoughts, feelings and behaviours that are getting in the way of them living a fulfilling life.Paula enjoys working with adults of all ages and backgrounds. She provides a calm, supportive, and non-judgemental space to explore the thoughts, feelings, and patterns that may be creating stress or holding them back. Her approach is collaborative and practical, helping clients build clarity, emotional regulation, and meaningful change so they can move towards a more balanced and fulfilling life.
